The 2nd Fire Station of Campo Mourão (2nd FS/CM) performs urgency and emergency procedures activities on Paraná’s Midwest Region, including wildfires combat. However, one of the difficulties experienced on filed is about the access to affected areas, information about the place and access routes, density of vegetation, topography, proximity to rivers and protected areas. Therefore, through geoprocessing, it is possible to identify auxiliary routes for access or escape from risky places and providing information for previous planning for combat and prevention projects, avoiding recurrence of this kind of event. So, the present project analyzed the area of activity of the 2nd FS/CM and developed auxiliary routes to combat wildfires. Through the analyzed of the information obtained, it was possible to observe that most of the events happen in the urban region of the district, and that the previous analysis of the geographic information contributes to a safer access and escape from risky places and a faster and more efficient combat. The project can also be applied to other activities developed by security institutions which require knowledge of the territory and risk areas, the state or the country. |
