Resumo: High blood pressure, also known as high blood pressure, is a condition in which blood pressure is always above 140/90 mmHg. Data from the Ministry of Health show that in 2017, Brazil recorded 141,878 deaths due to hypertension or causes attributable to it. This study aims to evaluate the reliability of blood pressure rates and the performance of the cell phone application in relation to the results obtained when using the result of the automatic pulse meter, as well as to measure, through the application of a quality of life questionnaire, the degree of knowledge of the population about arterial hypertension and the importance of continuous monitoring of blood pressure for the prevention of other serious diseases. This research was characterized as a prospective cross-sectional, observational, qualitative-quantitative comparative descriptive study that was carried out in three stages. The online application of a quality of life questionnaire in relation to pre-disposition to hypertension. The combination of blood pressure for a comparison of the results obtained and the validation and validation of the hypertension guide. The hypertension booklet was evaluated online by health professionals, the general community and design professionals. The results obtained through the quality of life questionnaire indicate that 31.2% of the sample believes they are overweight, 45.1% use processed or industrialized foods and almost 80% of the sample claimed to have a history of high blood pressure in the family, these being, among others, factors that are considered risk factors for the development of hypertension. Regarding diastolic blood pressure, no difference was found between the two forms of determination. Regarding the evaluation of the booklet, the participants considered that it has content and adequacy to the promotion of educational knowledge and for an automatic individual effectiveness in the prevention of arterial hypertension.
