Resumo: Management by competence is nothing more than managing a team or company seeking the development of their individual skills, in order to achieve the goal of the organization, the more aligned with the individual competencies to the goal of the organization, the faster results will be achieved. The objective of this study is to analyze how the prevailing competencies in leaders can stimulate the development of new leaderships. The case study was carried out in May 2018, in a private company of the poultry sector located in the southwest of Paraná. To achieve the objectives, questionnaires were applied to four employees of the organization that work. The results of the research suggest that the management by competences should be more explored in the organizations, because the collaborators are not very clear on the subject. It is concluded that management by competence and complex theme, and that each employee has its unique characteristics and competencies.
