Resumo: The urbanization of cities promotes the generation of facilities and convenience for its inhabitants, however, any human activity can produce pollutants harmful to the environment. A residue commonly produced inside a home, industry or office is carbon monoxide, which after a certain concentration can be lethal to humans. As it is an odorless and colorless gas, and there is a need to install sensors that detect it. In this work, a prototype was developed for the detection and control of carbon monoxide in closed places. For that, it was necessary to carry out a bibliographical survey about the sensors and methods used for the detection of carbon monoxide and to manufacture a controlled environment for simulation and tests of the prototype, which proved effectiveness of the detection and control method.
