Resumo: This work deals with the development of two graphical interfaces aimed at the analysis of synchronous generators by using Electromagnetic Fields Computer Aided Design software (EFCAD), contemplating the creation of generator geometry with various topologies, the insertion of processing data and an interface for analysis. One of the essential steps in designing synchronous generator is their validation, the finite element method (FEM) can be used to deal with that. The EFCAD software performs simulations by FEM, being able to determine the electric and magnetic fields from 2D objects. However, since it is an old software, EFCAD has a not friendly user-machine interface, where it is necessary to insert each vertex of the generator geometry, which requires the user to know the coordinates of each point. All user communication with the software is performed by commands via DOS. Using the softwares developed within this work, the validation time with EFCAD is drastically reduced, mainly in the creation of the machine geometry, where it is possible to draw the machine based only on their main dimensions.
