With the growing demand for electrical energy and popularization of terms such as photovoltaic solar energy and Distributed Generation, this undergraduate work aims to present the preliminary analysis of the economic viability of the installation of a Photovoltaic System Connected to the Grid, SFVCR, taking into account the current prices for these systems, as well as the current economic situation in Brazil. On this account, the consumption of electric energy of an industrial consumer was analyzed alongside the investment necessary to take advantage of the factory shed’s roofing area. The economic analysis is divided into two scenarios for the adjustment of the electricity tariff, considering that the annual tariff adjustment for the Free Energy Market has a correlation with the Extended National Consumer Price Index, IPCA, and three discount rates are considered different from three target projections for the country’s basic interest rate. The project’s viability was verified using the simple and discounted payback indicators, Net Present Value and Internal Rate of Return. Comparing the simulations, the conclusion was that the current economic scenario and the low interest rates taking place in the country makes the installation of this photovoltaic system viable in the long term and allows large energy consumers to have access to opportunities to obtain profitability on your premises. |
