Biodigestion is a very efficient technique of treatment and valorization of organic waste, with objective its energy utilization. The biogas is a mixture of gases highly combustible, obtained by biodigestion and has great applicability, such as burning and as electric energy generation. Given the possibility of using biogas, the biodigestion has shown to be a viable process economically, as well as beneficial to the environment. The research aims to present a project to install a plug-flow type biodigester for the production of biogas from organic solid waste at the university restaurant of the Federal Technological University of Paraná, in the municipality of Ponta Grossa. Therefore, the necessary operational conditions for biodigestion and the theoretical quantification of the electric energy production capacity will be established. |
