When considering the problems caused by rapid urbanization and population growth, such as: depletion of resources, overcrowding of urban services, climate change and social impacts, the need to search for solutions becomes clear. The smart city presents itself as a relevant alternative, as it encompasses solutions for the themes of the urban environment, with innovation and technology. In this context, it is necessary to assess how cities are situated in relation to the economy, people, mobility, environment, life and governance, to classify where they are and what their potential is in relation to their level of maturity in the Smart City concept. So, with the objective of selecting the Brazilian capitals in relation to the theme, the objective of this work is to propose a selection model based on the maturity of the Brazilian capitals in the Smart City concept. For the study, the ELECTRE I methodology will be used, a multicriteria analysis tool that identified the maturity of Brazilian capitals in the concept, resulting in the cities of Curitiba, Vitória, Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis and São Paulo as the best alternatives on the maturity, according to the use of the defined indicators and the result of the application of the method's algorithm. |
