Resumo: The present study is an unfolding of the original title “Profile of the blood lactate metabolic marker in a group of Paralympic pitchers” which, in view of the pandemic crisis resulting from the SARS-Cov-2, needed to be redesigned, respecting the current sanitary measures. Adapted sport emerged as an important means of physical, psychological and social rehabilitation for people with disabilities, thus becoming an important factor for social inclusion. The analysis of the metabolic profile for these athletes provides a better understanding of the evolution of performance and how much the activity is demanding of their physical capacity. This study aimed to analyze the investigations on metabolic profile in athletes with disabilities through a research with a Quali-Quantitative approach with exploratory objectives that triggered technical procedures in a literature review. The research was carried out through a search in the Proceedings of the International Parasports Congress of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2018, Articles of the Brazilian Journal of Prescription and Exercise Physiology of the years 2016 and 2019 and studies of the Fédération Internationale d'Education Physique from the years 2007, 2010 and 2011, following inclusion and exclusion criteria in relation to the presence of a metabolic profile in their goals. 2,655 works were selected in the total sample and, after following the inclusion criteria, 17 records were found that submitted to the exclusion criteria resulted in 5 articles. There was a great lack of studies on metabolic profile in athletes with disabilities, as well as the absence of researchers in the field of biology in this field, metabolic profile analyzes help to improve the quality of life of these athletes and provide better training and evolution. performance in competitions, therefore, this study suggests that health and biology professionals pay attention to emerging social demands in the scientific field, always seeking to do research for everyone, in the quest to improve the quality of life, promoting services to society in general.
