The didactic material researched was prepared for the final years of Elementary School; 6th year, which has as its mandatory content the approach of climatology in the curricular component of Geography. This area of Geography, at this stage of the student's education, presents the basis for understanding climate and atmospheric weather, climatic elements and factors and different climatic events in the Brazilian space. The moment was opportune for the research, because it is a unique scenario for Education in the state of Paraná and in the whole country, due to the coronavirus Pandemic and the mandatory social isolation, which led the Education system of the entire state to the format of Distance Education, indefinitely, and which required both the teacher and the student a change in the way of teaching and studying. In this context, the didactic material and the Digital Technologies of Information and Communication (TDICs) made all the difference as presented in the conclusive analysis of the research. Considerando a importância da compreensão das dinâmicas do clima dentro do ensino da Geografia para o aluno da Educação Básica, essa pesquisa teve por objetivo fazer uma análise a partir do estudo comparando materiais didáticos da Rede Pública e Privada, as diferentes abordagens e ferramentas oferecidas nos materiais, bem como os resultados destas para o aprendizado da climatologia. O material didático pesquisado foi elaborado para os anos finais do Ensino Fundamental; 6º ano, que tem como conteúdo obrigatório a abordagem de climatologia no componente curricular de Geografia. Essa área da Geografia, nessa etapa da formação do aluno, apresenta as bases da compreensão sobre clima e tempo atmosférico, elementos e fatores climáticos e diferentes ocorrências climáticas no espaço brasileiro. O momento foi oportuno para a pesquisa, pois se trata de um cenário único para a Educação no estado do Paraná e em todo o país, em virtude da pandemia do corona vírus e a obrigatoriedade do isolamento social, o que levou o sistema de Educação de todo o estado ao formato de Educação a Distância, por tempo indeterminado, e que, exigiu tanto do professor como do aluno uma mudança súbita na forma de ensinar e estudar.
