Resumo: The theme of this research is the relationship between school and family to promote the development of children in early childhood education. It is a qualitative bibliographic search, which involves consulting various materials such as books, articles, magazines, periodicals and websites. Based on theoretical contributions, it was verified the importance of the partnership between these two institutions as something necessary to reduce the learning difficulties in early childhood education. Specifically, dialogues were held with some authors who defend the participation of the family in their children's school life as a facilitating agent so that they can understand the specific role of each institution, with emphasis on the importance of the family at school. The study also presents the factors that interfere in the learning difficulties, emphasizing the education of values, discipline, limits, respect and socio educational aspects to face this problem. Finally, it highlights the role of the school in the education and development of the child in this first phase of school life, pointing out the interrelationship between institutions such as school, family, state and civil society, as it understands that these are the main responsible for ensuring maintaining the child's intellectual and school development within their respective attributions.
