Resumo: Since the beginning, Astronomy has fascinated human beings, motivated by the mystery of the unknown and mysticism. The teaching of the topic in schools has been underused, since, when in fact it is approached, it occurs in a closed way, only in the bubble of Physics, without connection with the other areas of knowledge. Based on this, this work was motivated by the difficulty that teachers find in the teaching of Astronomy in a significant way and with the necessary irreverence required by the study of Physics. The work presented how the Quick Response Code tool ­ QR Code ­ can assist the teaching of Astronomy, providing, as a benefit, the self-development of the student's knowledge through research. This objective could be achieved through the discussion about the challenges faced by teachers in the school universe, the use of technology in the teaching of Astronomy, the conceptualization of the QR Code tool and the evaluation of how the incentive to research can promote student self-development. To address this issue, a qualitative bibliographic research was proposed, which suggested the joint use of the Gamification active teaching methodology and the QR Code as a pedagogical tool and motivating learning strategy.
