Resumo: The purpose of this work was to understand the pedagogical teacher's trajectory and function in terms of his historical, social and political conception of the planning and execution of the Pedagogical Political Project as a guiding document for the public school, which must be elaborated collectively. The research was based on studies and documents that address the subject and is characterized as bibliographic, presenting, as main sources, printed documents from previous research, such as books, articles, magazines and others that address the role of the pedagogue in the construction of the Pedagogical Political Project in search of a quality education, such as Libâneo (1999); Vasconcellos (1995) and Saviani (2008). Thus, it became evident that it is the pedagogical teacher's role to guide the construction and implementation of the Political Pedagogical Project, involving the participation of the school community, guaranteeing a democratic and collective process, thus contributing to the improvement of pedagogical practices in public schools.
