Resumo: |
This researchintends to introducethe importance of credit risk management through the process of granting credit by a credit union and how it is treated after its granting so that the default rate is as low as possible. Knowing the risk is essential in decision making so that its impact is as mild as possible, even when that risk becomes an opportunity, that is why the six stages of risk management as highlighted by the PMBoK are highlighted, as well as the risks inherent to a credit union. The research started from a study of the literature on risk management and referred to a case study carried out in a credit cooperative, in order to understand the risks involved during the process of granting credit. For that, the current internal rules, an annual internal control planning document, forms / checklists were used and there were also several dialogues with those responsible for the process (credit area and risk area) to obtain the best possible sample. A bibliographic research was also carried out as a complement to the course conclusion work. The survey also presents how the credit granting process works and how credit risk management is carried out by the cooperative's Internal Controls department after the credit is granted in order to mitigate risks and ensure the continuity of the business. Through a case study it is possible to see how the credit granting process requires an assertive and well-structured risk management so that the creditor is able to get back the credit assigned to the borrower. |
