Resumo: This work exemplifies an analysis of the thermal performance of different construction models, with the objective of showing which external vertical sealing (VVE) best behaves in relation to environmental comfort for a building located in a cold bioclimatic zone. To verify the thermal performance of the VVE, a project of a single- family building in the city of Guarapuava-PR was used, and with the aid of computer programs, an analysis was carried out between the constructive models of cast-in-place concrete and ceramic blocks with mortar coating. After the results obtained by the software, the requirements of the performance standard NBR 15575-1 (2021) were applied to verify the thermal performance of the models, followed by an compliance assessment with the minimum criteria of that standard against the bioclimatic zone, and finally evidencing the efficiency of the building with ceramic blocks in relation to those with cast-in-place concrete.
