Resumo: Bridges and viaducts are fundamental elements of a country's infrastructure, serving as support for highways, railways, waterways, fluid transport pipelines and are called Special Works of Art – OAE's. The accelerated technological development in this field was accompanied by greater risks and factors that promoted the deterioration of structures. In this context, there was a need to study the behavior of structures and quantitatively assess the relevance of these pathologies. The objective of this work is to evaluate the pathological manifestations in OAE's in the urban perimeter of Guarapuava/PR. On-site visits were carried out in 12 OAE's and data were collected through visual inspections and photographic records. The evaluations were based on the GDE/UnB Methodology adapted for Special Works of Art, developed in the Postgraduate Program in Structures and Civil Construction at the University of Brasília - PECC/UnB. The sketches of the structures were made to identify the elements and the data were quantified to determine the degree of deterioration. From the results obtained, the OAE's were classified according to their levels of deterioration and the incidence of different damage to the structures was analyzed.
