Resumo: Civil construction companies seek emancipation at the market through investments in technology. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a promissory technology with a solid range of softwares for modeling/executing constructions. Solibri is an interesting option among these softwares, mainly because of the possibility of testing a model/project using rulesets. These rulesets could be created or based on standards, useful when testing accessibility levels of a project. Accessibility in Brazil had an important milestone recently: the creation of the Brazilian Inclusion’s Regulation in 2015. This regulation expresses the responsibility of the government in ensuring accessibility in educational buildings for students with disability. Although the existence of the accessibility regulation, there is no guarantee of compliance. For that reason, the objective of this project was to choose a public building and test it according to the accessibility requirements using Solibri. The chosen building was a university at Curitiba (Paraná – Brazil), and the obtained results from the software were compared to an on-site inspection. Both software and on-site analysis indicated failure in accessibility requirements. Besides of the limitations of the inspections, the BIM technology proved to be useful and effective when analyzing accessibility in projects/buildings.
