Resumo: Thermal comfort is a fundamental part of a building. With the ease of obtaining artificial air conditioning systems, buildings have been less and less thought of using techniques of thermal exploitation, generating high energy consumption. Thus, the present study analyzes the effectiveness of the passive solar technique called “Trombe Wall” in obtaining thermal comfort on hot days. Such analysis was carried out through a comparative experiment between a usual constructive method and the use of Trombe Wall. The work involved the construction of two prototypes with the same internal volume, both in solid wood, one without openings and the other with the inclusion of the Trombe Wall system. During 10 days, the external and internal temperatures of the prototypes were measured using electronic temperature sensors. The results obtained showed lower temperatures in the prototype arranged in Trombe Wall. Analyzes and interpretations of the temperature values obtained with the level of humidity and air velocity were carried out during the experiment.
