This work presents a study about structural and sociocultural changes occurred in contexts where information systems (IS) were introduced, including the surroundings of new information and communication technologies, pointing out the relation of the IS’s final users with the technology and exploring some meanings they give to it. The research was developed based on approach of the communities of practice –focusing on the social learning theory – energized by the social life of information, through computational artifacts, mediators of human practices. The methodological strategy was characterized by the qualitative research of interpretative nature, with option on a case study, which locus was: Faróis do Saber Informatizados of Curitiba-PR (Lighthouses of Knowledge with Informatics of Curitiba-PR), recognized by the implantation of the first public Internet network in Brazil. The main results showed that not only the scholar and academic contexts, but also these contexts, are authentic spaces for continuum, spontaneous and inorthodox learning, where experts help newcomers in computational practices. Besides, they come up as initiative towards diminishing the abysm between the digital-social inclusion and exclusion, in the technological-computational paradigm which characterizes the network society in the Information Era. |
