Energy efficiency has been a hot topic nowadays, especially in the operation of induction motors, which are the largest energy consumers. So it is natural to develop a tool for assessing the efficiency of induction machine directed to the industrial sector seeking to support energy savings. Although the calculation of efficiency sounds simple, the mechanical decoupling of the motors to make the measurements becomes economically impracticable. However, this assessment can be done through noninvasive methods discussed in the literature, by collecting three-phase electric motor parameters in full operation. Thus, a methodology proposal is presented for its performance evaluation and then point solutions aimed at energy, and economic efficiency in the process. |
