Resumo: This work presents the study and development of a discrete control system for computer-simulated plants, using a human machine interface connected to a PLC via Profibus DP industrial network. It is has been used a simulation software, which provides five virtual plants types commonly used in real process, allowing the virtual plant input and output variables to the physic PLC inputs and outputs by a micro controlled interface. This final paper consist on development and implementation of the program logic considering two virtual process from ITS PLC Professional Edition using ladder logic, applying it to a touchscreen human machine interface connected by Profibus DP with a PLC S7-300, both Siemens. The development of the control screens is done by using a specific software from Siemens, therefore, the screens are configured to show up the supervision of the virtual process, activating the actuators, choosing manual or automatic mode, and the access of settings information from the human machine interface.
