Resumo: The present work consists in the study of a system of automation. Fire pumps need to be carried out in the company Klabin Puma, Ortigueira region - PR. Which consists of replacing the old system with an automatic system, which is more reliable and centralized. This project contemplated the detection of the problem, which is an old panel system out of standards and without monitoring, by an automatic system with active protections and controlled via DCS. (DCS) is a circuit that overlaps a continuous stream of digital data modulated by frequency switching at 134.4 bits per second in the transmitted signal. DCS is local in nature; the Operators and the process (the plant or factory floor) are close to each other. In general, the integrated control Center is a few meters away, if not inside, of the plant.Classical example are the refineries and chemical in general, Oven and others. In the course of the work, it was intended to discuss the necessary steps to be taken to implement the new system in order to offer reliability, precision and monitoring to meet both fire safety standards and safety and NR10.
