This paper focuses on the processing and analysis of electromyographic signals. The EMGLab software, used for the paper’s development, has an automatic signal decomposition algorithm known as The Montreal Decomposition Algorithm. The algorithm is capable of identifying the action potentials of motor units through the application of filtering and pattern identification techniques. Allowing to perform a complete reading of the signal to be analyzed, extracting the actions of the neuromotors responsible for the muscular activity performed. Thus, by applying the automatic decomposition of electromyographic signals under different conditions, it is possible to perform a data analysis in order to obtain the relation between the neural firing rate and the intensity of the voluntary muscular contractions. |
