Resumo: Nowadays, more and more, electric energy is essential in people's daily lives and in the development of humanity as a whole. In this way, quality, safety and reliability are highly required by regulatory agencies in order to maintain continuity in power supply. As a result of the complexity and dynamism of the electric power system, imbalances between generation and load are common, and the use of an efficient control system is essential to keep the variables within specified values, avoiding a collapse. The focus of this work is given to Automatic Generation Control (AGC), or secondary regulation, which aims to restore the frequency of the system to the programmed value and maintain and/or reestablish the active power exchanges to the established values, due to the constant oscillations of load and generation of the electric system. This work will analyze the impact of AGC on long term voltage stability by the implementation of a test system in computational simulations and analysis of the dynamic VP curves in the case of the system without AGC and with the presence of it.
