This paper presents the importance of the correct use of standards in industrial and commercial electrical installations in explosive atmospheres in order to guarantee the safety and the reduction of risks of fire and explosion accidents, damage prevention, human and property losses. It aims to educate designers and companies of the importance of correct application of the rules to increase security. This paper contains examples of requirements by standards, as well as advantages, applications, and recurring risks of failure. It also presents the application of standards in a case of installation at a service station for the purpose of study. |
