Understood as a process of joining metals welding can be divided into several methods. During welding by tubular wire some variations can occur, to measure them is usually coupled a piezoelectric accelerometer, that can generate difference in the electrical potential or applied mechanical load. With the improvement in this type of welding, you can have an increase in productivity as well as decrease costs without compromising quality. Thus, the general objective of this work was to analyze the variations in the conventional welding process with Tubular Wire through the coupling of a piezoelectric accelerometer. Methodologically, a portable acquisition system of IMC-Welding model SAP-4 (Portable Acquisition System-4) was used to perform the instantaneous reading of current, voltage, wire speed and gas flow rates with time configurable up to 600 s, with sampling rate of 5000 dots per second for each variable. In addition to acquiring voltage and current data, a National Instruments CDAQ-9178 data acquisition system was used with the temperature acquisition and accelerometer modules. The accelerometer used is the piezoelectric vibration industrial model KS80D, with a linear frequency range of 0.3 to 14.000 Hz. It is possible to notice that the acquisition of signals is fundamental for the determination of the stability and / or instability of the electric arc and that with the use of the accelerometer and the preprocessing of the acquired signals, it is possible to estimate the acceleration in RMS and to prove the stability of the electric arc, besides that it can be observed that the greatest acceleration peaks occurred in frequencies smaller than 800 Hz .At the welding conditions established, when the 230A current is used, it has a better stability of the electric arc, thus a better condition for welding the coating. |
