The work presents a case study regarding the installation of a rainwater capture system for a lava car in the city of Pato Branco - PR. For the development of the work, a lava car that uses water from the public supply network and at also has the potential to capture a large volume from rainwater was chosen. So a cistern was designed to supply the demand for the lava car and also generate benefits for the owner of the establishment, as well as for the city and the environment in a general context, reducing the waste of potable water and amortizing the problem of flooding, a problem recurrent in the city due to its very steep topography. After a thorough analysis of the facilities, physical characteristics and data of the enterprise, a cost survey was carried out to install the rainwater system and a period of return for investment. The results of the study showed that it would be possible to save a large amount of water with the implementation of the system and that the investment would be paid within approximately 7 months, thus proving the project to be economically viable. |
