Resumo: The Martensitic stainless steel CA6NM is characterized by having low corrosion resistance, high elasticity and high mechanical strength. For the strengths of this steel, it is used in many machines and their components, most often used in marine environment for the reason of giving less maintenance, compared to other types of steel. To improve the properties of the studied steel, a 410NiMo coating was deposited by the thermal sprinkler to wire flame, to protect base steel until corrosion and wear, increasing its useful life. SEM, SEM and EDS and microhardness and scratch wear were used to validate this coating as a way of recovering parts, components and equipment. The results showed that the deposit had a wear resistance by scratching 80% higher than the base metal and hardness of 337.9 HV0.3 versus 312 HV0.3 of the base metal
