Resumo: Perception studies are widely used in the area of Environmental Education to support the planning of awareness-raising actions. At the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) Campus Campo Mourão (CM) the Selective Solidarity Collection was implemented in 2012 and, so that the waste is segregated at the generating source and its subsequent destination for the cooperative of recyclable material collectors that serves the Campus, it is necessary to guide and sensitize the academic community in a continuous and permanent way. The present work aims to analyze the environmental perception of UTFPR-CM students in relation to Selective Solidarity Collection. For this purpose, an online questionnaire was applied to 79 undergraduate students, covering questions that sought to identify the knowledge of students regarding the Solidarity Selective Collection, its importance, the survey of the most efficient strategies in the awareness process and a test of knowledge about the correct disposal of waste generated on the Campus. It was possible to observe that the Selective Solidarity Collection is well known and valued by the students, but actions must be taken so that they know the meaning of the term “solidarity” and its importance with regard to the environmental and social aspects. Among the strategies used in the sensitization process, solidarity actions received greater prominence in terms of preference and adherence. In this way, it was possible to identify issues to be more broadly addressed with students, frequent doubts in the disposal of solid waste and methods for carrying out awareness-raising actions aimed at the continuous improvement of the Selective Solidarity Collection at UTFPR-CM.
