This work sought to bring the environmental impacts caused in grain storage and raise mitigating measures, it is relevant to point out these aspects since with the growth of agricultural production, Brazil tends to increase the storage capacity of grain storage units. This will allow greater marketing power for agricultural products. Today, in the literature, there is a lack of information about the impacts generated in the cycle of grain storage operations. Through a literature review, each step was analyzed and studied, generating individual flowcharts where the main negative and positive impacts stand out, such as: construction and operation of storage units, job creation, value addition to production and expansion of tax collection in favor of the municipality. Excel and word software were used to assist in the elaboration of tables and flowcharts to illustrate the storage processes and their impacts. The environmental impacts in the grain storage sector that exist can be remedied with some suggestions made in this work. Transport can be considered responsible for most of the impacts within a grain unit, other negative impacts of great relevance are changes in air quality, particulate emissions, increased solid waste generation. |
