Resumo: Agricultural production has undergone several changes throughout history, due to population growth and high demand for food. The new practices inserted in the productive sector prioritize the high quantity of products without taking into account the limitations of natural resources. Thus, the soil ends up being a component of the environment that is directly damaged, with the use of large and heavy machinery, chemical fertilizers and the exacerbated use of pesticides that cause physical, chemical and biological changes in these soils. Thus, more sustainable techniques are needed to minimize the environmental impact caused by this resource of great importance for the survival of the human species. An alternative to study is the use of rock powder as remineralizers. Coming from rocks, this component is defined as waste in the crushing process, rich in essential nutrients for the soil, and capable of slowly releasing macro and micronutrients. Thus, the stonemeal practice presents itself as a viable and sustainable alternative capable of reducing the costs arising from the environmentally correct disposal of rock dust, in addition to reducing the eutrophication of water resources. The main objective of the present work was to evaluate the potential of rock dust, the leaching dynamics of the elements calcium (Ca), phosphorus (P), magnesium (Mg), potassium (K) and nitrogen (N) from a cultivated soil, simulating the average annual precipitation of the municipality of Francisco Beltrão, southwestern Paraná.
