The knowledge about the pathological manifestations in buildings has grown in the professional field, however its study, diagnosis and consequent proposed solutions are unknown to the majority of ordinary users. Most of the buildings are treated by their owners as perennial, and do not receive the appropriate treatments. That said, this monography aimed to study and present a common case of pathological occurrences in a building that is frequently used, in order to exemplify how the analysis is carried out, what are the possible causes and consequences linked to the failures identified through inspections, and how it should be monitored and treated those cases, both by the engineers responsible for services in the area, thus helping in decision-making, as well as by the owners with their buildings. |
