Resumo: Construction, despite being an activity already developed by man for many years, still has several openings for improvements and alternatives that are able to align this progress with sustainability. Noting the influence that the structural stage of a building has in this context, this present work aims to compare different formwork systems for reinforced concrete pillars, using the Hierarchical Analysis Method (AHP) for decision making, including sustainability criteria. To this end, relying on the choice of sustainability criteria, the development consists in the data collection of two works of the same construction company, located in Curitiba, where wooden formwork was used to build its pillars. For comparison, information was obtained through contact with suppliers of the material to be compared. In order to be able to understand the most appropriate system, a spreadsheet of calculations was developed based on the AHP method and the ranking of the previously defined criteria. This led to the conclusion that the most sustainable solution was the wood formwork system.
