Resumo: The present work consists in the development of a simulator of a liquid metering station applied in oil refineries. The simulator aims to perform functional tests of flow computers, emulating the variables virtually as if it were a real process. The simulator was built on the basis of an Arduino microcontroller that communicates via a MODBUS RTU protocol to a SCADABR supervisory system using digital and analog interfaces to match the signal levels between the simulator system and the inputs and outputs of a OMNI flow computer. Due to the graphical interface used, which allowed to set temperature, pressure and time emulated signals, it was possible to mimic all the procedural steps of a compact tester. As a result, a tool has been created with potential to test the functionality of the flow computers, making it easy to learn how to operate the equipment in a controlled environment of a test lab. Another result was the creation of a graphical interface with the curves of the flow loop control variables, which allows one to study how the settings of the closed loop control parameters stabilize the flow after a step response in the setpoint.
