Resumo: Trading and public services are responsible for the largest share of lighting electricity consumption. Considering that the greater awareness of energy saving is aimed at individuals, it is important to highlight that companies and organizations must also make their contribution. This final paper presents a lighting project of the new laboratories of the Federal Technological University of Paraná, for standard application and investments analysis. The project was carried out through simulations in DIALux Evo software, with the creation of 6 scenarios for comparison. The criteria and parameters used for its development were obtained through the Brazilian Standard for Workplace Lighting. First the laboratories’ current conditions were analyzed, and then the simulations in DIALux Evo were performed. It has been found that by changing lamps, lighting fixture, ambient color and arrangement of lighting fixture, it is possible to meet the standard criteria and improve the ambient lighting quality. Performing lighting projects in didactic environments, especially in laboratories, assists in lighting arrangements optimization and also provides better visual comfort for students and teachers.
