Resumo: Water is an essential resource for life on the planet, and as such it is essential the analyze and control of its quality. Due to some limitations in the way this analyze is currently made, the company Legado Ambiental developed a system that is capable of autonomously and remotely make this analyzes and collect data. Since some locations of interest don’t have access to the energy grid, it’s necessary the use of a local power generation. Due to being a clean and reliable energy source, it was decided to adopt an off-grid photovoltaic system. This paper study the technical viability of implanting this system of power generation. For that, the loads of the analysis unit, the areas to be installed and their respectives data concerning the potential for photovoltaic generation were surveyed. With those data, it was possible to make the design and optimization of an off-grid photovoltaic system that can fully supply the unit. Finally, it was found that the generation system would be simple, compact and reliable and, therefore, it was concluded that its implementation is technically feasible.
