Resumo: The exclusion of people with disabilities from the labor market is related to the marginalization that occurred throughout history, understanding that people with disabilities would not be able to work. In January 2016 there was an important milestone, when the Brazilian Inclusion Law (Law No. 13,146, of July 6, 2015) came into force, stating that citizens with disabilities, on an equal footing with other citizens, have autonomy and the ability to practice acts of civil life. Having this as a basis, this research aimed to analyze the barriers to the insertion of a visually impaired person in the labor market in Pato Branco - PR, using qualitative descriptive explanatory research, using Oral History as a research method and an interview data collection instrument guided. The survey was conducted in the city of Pato Branco / Paraná, on August 27, 2019 and during the work the three main categories of analysis were used, namely: Admission process for companies; Accessibility and Difficulties and; Adaptations to limitations.
