Resumo: The automation shows up more in the industry, in the production of less geometric tolerance products and with a very high quality demanded by the consumer, furthermore, due to the competition of the current market, the production has been made in large scale and lower time. Indoors the automation has become common too, the demand for products which are almost self-sufficient and replaces the man in housework making his life easier, is consequence of a world where there is no time to waste with simple tasks. Connected directly with automation are the control systems, which are a fundamental part to some mechanism to make its automatic control. That is where fits this final paper, it talks about the construction of a mechanism in which is possible to apply some control methods for then, studying them. In case, the chosen mechanism was the classic Ball And Beam, one of the most used for this type of study. Remembering that in its construction were used materials that are easy to find and some of them even are considered waste. In addition the construction, there were also applied two methods of control: a classic one, through a plant application, and another one through a software simulation.
