Resumo: This present completion of course work consists in a study and preparation of support material on the main solution methods for linear finite element structural analysis. Constructed based on the one-dimensional type of elements. The study consists in making algorithms in MATLAB based on direct solution method, representing simple overhung beams structures. Validated by comparing the results obtained in the algorithms, with the results of methods: numerical of Galerkin and practical empirical experiments, proving the equivalence between the methods, as well as the limitations of the linear methods for the phenomena engineering representation.
