The ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 standard establishes the basic requirements for the standardization of a management system in testing, calibration, and sampling laboratories, at an international level, in order to guarantee reliability in its analytical results. The implementation of a QMS meeting the requirements of this International Standard is achievable, has positive impacts on the university, its members and research and academic content. In this work, a Quality Management System in the LTPA Laboratory of the Academic Department of Chemistry and Biology (DAQBi) of the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) was proposed, which meets the requirements of the ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Standard, with accreditation purposes, considering the possibility of turning it into a service provision laboratory. Initially, no management systems were identified in the laboratory, and thus, the importance of implementing one was observed in order to prove the reliability of its results. A critical analysis methodology was adopted, seeking to structure the QMS só that its implementation does not interfere with the current teaching and research activities already carried out in the laboratory. In this sense, the organization of the laboratory was structured só that in the future it could be accredited in the ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Standard. For the development of the QMS documentation structure, the aspects and steps for the implementation of a quality management system that contemplated all the requirements of the Standard were considered. As a result, documents consisting of 26 procedures were generated (each meeting an item of the standard), and 33 forms for documentary records, linked to these procedures. Although some procedures are not compulsory, they were created to assist the laboratory in meeting the requirements of the Standard. From the proposal, it is concluded that it is possible to implement a QMS in the LTPA Laboratory for accreditation purposes. As advantages of this structure, the University will be able to serve the external community, in addition to allowing the student to be in closer contact with the reality and requirements of a laboratory providing services. In addition, as it is in a university environment, the accreditation of the LTPA Laboratory will allow linked students to carry out their tests in a more controlled environment, ensuring the reliability of their results, which has a direct impact on the submission of papers to major impact scientific journals. |
