This work proposes the construction of a pin on disc tribometer designed for tests with lubricants. The work is inside the tribology area, modern science which basically deals with the behavior of the friction and wear in many materials that are in mechanical contact and keeps relative movement between themselves in different conditions of pressure, sliding velocity, temperature, lubrication, vibration, atmosphere, among others. The work tries to classify some of the many existing tribometers according to their application, and also expose a schedule for the tribological test. Finally presents some of the equipments that will be used in the proposed tribometer. |
