This project explores the combination of Graphic Design and Web Development expertise to create a robot that interacts with the social network Twitter. The primary goal is to automate the generation and publication of GIF images that represent the number of daily deaths by COVID-19 in Brazil as stars shining in the sky in a humanized perspective of visualization of this data. In a second instance, the possibility of interaction with other users for the construction of a collective virtual memorial is made possible. The steps and technologies used during the process are described, accompanied by personal motivations and creative choices. To generate the visualizations, Processing, P5JS, NodeJS, PM2, MongoDB, Mongoose, Heroku, Twitter API, COVID-19 API and Linux technologies were used. The conclusion of this paper discusses the reception of the project and presents reflections on new ways of transmitting technical knowledge and the use of technology as a tool for self-affirmation and resistance. |
