Resumo: This work aimed to identify the best period and the ideal environmental conditions to carry out artificial hybridizations in soybean. The experiment was conducted in the city of Pato Branco-PR, 2020/21 cropping season. To conduct the experiment, nine soybean cultivars were used (BMX Raio IPRO, BMX Lança IPRO, BMX Zeus IPRO, NS 5445 IPRO, NS 5700 IPRO, NK 6201 IPRO, TMG 7058 IPRO, 95Y02 IPRO and M 5838 IPRO), cultivated in ten staggered sowing times to coincide flowering season. The artificial hybridization of 36 hybrid combinations took place in the field in two periods of the day, between 09:00h to 12:00h and between 14:00h to 17:00h. The studied traits were relative humidity, air temperature, number of pollinations carried out, number of pods without sepals, number of seeds produced and percentage of pods without sepals. A total of 418 artificial crossings were carried out, from which 92 pods without sepals and 204 seeds were obtained. The results indicate that artificial hybridizations were more efficient in the period from 14:00h to 17:00h, with an pick up rate of 25,26%.
