The following study presents an analysis about 100 anos em 100 filmes: escritos sobre cinema, a collection of texts (organized by Maria Salete Borba and published by UFSC) by Brazilian author Valêncio Xavier, originally published in the Paranaense newspaper Gazeta do Povo in 1995, in order to celebrate cinema’s first public exhibition. The texts were analyzed in a way to clarify if there is any possible organization to understand the project as a single (maybe literary) book. The concepts of collage and montage were utilized as a key to understanding and connecting the texts of this work. |
