Metal structures are a type of support formed by elements incorporated by steel profiles. These structures are gaining ground in residential works, for being a constructive model that has less waste, quick execution, or that indirectly increases the cost-benefit. As it is a support method, it is essential that the design of the same is carried out. This work presents a structural analysis of a metallic roof truss and aims to verify the design of this structure. Through the survey of permanent loads, accidents, and wind, it was possible to perform a simulation of the structure in the Ansys ® software. In the analysis of accidental loads they were used as specifications of ANBT NBR 6120: 2019, in the analysis of wind loads they were used as specifications of ABNT NBR 6123: 1988 and for the design of the metallic structure they used the specifications of ABNT NBR 8800: 2008. The methods used to verify the structure were the ultimate limit state and the service limit state. According to the acting voltages and allowable voltages, it is possible to verify the importance of considering all the requirements according to the standard that is relevant at the time of the project, because at the end of the study, for the adopted model, it was found that the maximum displacements allowed above the allowable by current regulations. Furthermore, the profiles adopted in the flanges and diagonals were not able to resist the axial traction efforts. |
