The relevance of knowledge in the contemporary economy has placed the service sector as one of the leading members of the current economy. This study contemplates a gap in the literature, as it investigates the three concepts interpolated to architectural firms, which extensively use specific technical knowledge and creativity to the production of their services, and, therefore, fall within these concepts global in the research. In addition, a brief overview of the architecture market was also studied to understand its relevance in a broader scope than the regional one. The increase in digitalization has made the scope of service provision wider and the technology applied to the development of these activities and has been expanding competition to a greater level. Thus, the research ends by investigating assumptions about the future of the professions, and more specifically, examples of advances in the field of architecture. In general, the work aimed to translate the concepts studied in the theoretical framework into one extensive survey research to evaluate architectural firms’ human, intellectual and organizational capital capacities. The collected data were numerically analyzed through the mean, standard deviation, and error related to the three key concepts of the referential. Finally, this work addressed some insights to managers of architecture offices to position their companies in the concepts of the contemporary economy. |
