The operational amplifier is, among the electronic components available, the most versatile, being able to perform logical, mathematical functions, amplify signals, as well as several other applications, such as the implementation of a diode with potential voltage of microvolts, measurement of voltage and current, analog-to-digital converter, etc. Although in many applications the assumption of an ideal operational amplifier results in a performance very close to the real one, in some cases the nonidealities of the component can be significant and directly affect the expected result This work considers the non-ideality of the op-amp open loop gain due to the presence of a compensation capacitor in its internal circuit. This component is responsible for ensuring the stability of the amplifier. However, in some applications, due to this component, the amplifier's output voltage may have an oscillatory characteristic, as is the case with some circuits with capacitive load. Then the result of some simulations is presented and the oscillation analysis is proposed, as well as means to reduce the effect in an objective way. |
