This does not mean that the implementation of this project for a specific geographic location in Brazil becomes viable. In this sense, before implementation, it is necessary to carry out an analysis for the economic and financial feasibility of the investment. This analysis consists of the process, in which, from the results to the financial and economic indicators, these are used in models to analyze the investment feasibility. This study aimed to verify the economic and financial feasibility of implementing a flexible foam industry located in the Pato Branco - PR region to serve a local and regional consumer market. For this, the specification of the process and equipment, mass and energy balance for the process, collection and analysis of financial and economic indicators was carried out. The models used for investment analysis were: payback time, VPL, TIR, simple payback and discounted payback. The payback time on investment calculated by the SEBRAE spreadsheet was 9 months. The VPL obtained was R$ 2,516,020.60 and a percentage of 20% for TIR. The result obtained for the simple payback was 4 months and the discounted payback was 8 months. The economic indicators obtained resulted in 18.13% for profitability, 24.60% for profitability and 20.01% for general indebtedness. Therefore, the results of the main models for feasibility analysis show that the project is viable with a very fast time to return on investment. The results of the economic indicators show that the investment has a healthy economic and financial situation. A fabricação de espuma flexível, apresenta-se dentro do cenário nacional como um empreendimento muito rentável, com investimento inicial relativamente baixo e um tempo de retorno do investimento rápido. Isto não significa que a implantação deste empreendimento para determinado local geográfico no Brasil torna-se viável. Neste sentido, antes da implantação é importante e necessário a realização da análise para viabilidade econômica e financeira do investimento. Esta análise, consiste no processo no qual utiliza-se os valores dos indicadores financeiros e econômicos em modelos matemáticos para análise da viabilidade do investimento. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo verificar a viabilidade econômica e financeira para implantação de uma indústria de espuma flexível com localização na região de Pato Branco – PR para atender um mercado consumidor local e regional. Para isto, realizou-se a especificação do processo e dos equipamentos, balanço de massa e energia para o processo, coleta e análise dos indicadores financeiros e econômicos. Os modelos utilizados para análise do investimento foram: tempo de retorno do investimento, VPL, TIR, payback simples e payback descontado. O tempo de retorno do investimento calculado pela planilha do SEBRAE foi de 9 meses. O VPL obtido foi R$ 2.516.020,60 e um valor de 20% para TIR. O payback simples foi de 4 meses e o payback descontado foi de 8 meses. Os indicadores econômicos obtidos tiveram como resultado 18,13% para rentabilidade, 24,60% de lucratividade e 20,01% para o endividamento geral. Portanto, os resultados para os principais modelos da análise de viabilidade mostraramm que o empreendimento é viável com um tempo muito rápido do retorno do investimento.
