Resumo: The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics, health conditions, the use of Sport and Leisure Centers (NEL) and the level of physical activity of women from São José dos Pinhais, Paraná. Quantitative, observational, cross-sectional study conducted in 2019 in which 155 adult women participated, assiduous the physical activity classes offered in eight NEL. Physical activity was measured with ActiGraph wb-GT3X + accelerometers to identify four outcomes: total light-intensity physical activity (AFL), total moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (AFMV), AFL and AFMV during NEL stay. Sociodemographic variables (age, education, socioeconomic status (NSE)), health conditions (body mass index and morbidities) were analyzed. The variables of use of the NEL were measured with questions used in similar studies and adapted to the local context, the frequency of use of the NEL, length of stay at the NEL, time of use, period of the day they attended and intensity of the main activity that were evaluated performed. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression models in SPSS 24.0. A total of 155 women were evaluated, the largest proportion of participants was in the 40-59 age group (49.0%), had a high socioeconomic status (67.7%), most of whom reported having completed high school (45.8%) followed by fundamental with (40.6%). The length of stay in minutes in the cores had a weekly average of 189.0 minutes (SD 101.4) and a daily average of 66.4 minutes (SD 19.5), Higher weekly frequency (β: 10.9; EP: 2, 9; p <0.01) and intensity of the activity performed in the NEL (β: 22.4; EP: 9.6; p <0.05) showed a positive relationship with the total MVPA. NSE (β: 5.9; EP: 2.7; p <0.05) and length of stay in place (β: 6.0; EP: 1.5; p <0.01) showed a positive relationship with AFL held at NEL; while education (β: -4.7; EP: 2.0; p <0.05) and weekly frequency (β: -2.5; EP: 1.1; p <0.05) showed a negative relationship with this outcome. Weekly frequency (β: 2.4; EP: 0.8; p <0.01), length of stay (β: 11.0; EP: 1.1; p <0.01) and intensity of the activity performed in the NEL (β: 5.9; EP: 2.6; p <0.05) showed a positive relationship with MVPA performed at NEL; while education (β: -3.8; EP: 2.0; p <0.05) showed a negative relationship. There was a positive relationship between several variables analyzed and physical activity at different intensities. Above all, the positive relationship found between the variables of NEL use and the MVPA of women is highlighted.
