With the great increase in the use of technology resources and their improvements, nowadays the amount of information regarding each device is immense, ranging from the most basic information, such as its respective location and model, to more technical and detailed information such as temperature, number of ports, connections, among others. Hence, the premise that the more information collected on a given asset, the greater the degree of management and control of it. This information is extremely important for IT managers and infrastructure administrators. In this work will show the importance of using a tool to control and manage an infrastructure and its respective assets in a datacenter environment, including servers, routers, rack switches, cabling and other functions. A DCIM / IPAM tool will be used in the open-source license model. |
